Rest & Sleep Welfare Protocols

Rest & Sleep Welfare Protocols

Adequate rest is a fundamental component of both physical recovery and emotional stability during hospitalization. This protocol encourages integrating sleep quality and environmental stability as essential aspects of veterinary patient care. Recommendations include minimizing unnecessary nighttime interruptions, controlling environmental noise levels, and avoiding repeated handling outside strictly necessary clinical procedures. Comfortable resting surfaces and more physiological lighting cycles are also strongly encouraged in order to support restorative sleep patterns. In highly sensitive patients or during prolonged hospitalization, ensuring adequate periods of uninterrupted rest can significantly reduce stress levels and improve overall clinical outcomes.
