Structured Early Socialization

Structured Early Socialization

The early developmental period is essential for building the emotional and behavioral balance of the adult animal. This protocol promotes structured, progressive, and respectful early socialization adapted to the maturation rhythm of each puppy or kitten, avoiding chaotic, overwhelming, or excessively intense exposure during sensitive developmental phases.

Key recommendations include introducing new stimuli gradually and positively, beginning with controlled, low-intensity experiences before progressing to more complex environments. The quality of experiences should always be prioritized over quantity, avoiding situations in which the animal shows clear signs of fear, freezing, avoidance, or overstimulation.

Progressive exposure to people, sounds, surfaces, basic veterinary handling, transport, and everyday environmental stimuli should be incorporated while maintaining adequate rest and emotional recovery periods. The objective is to support the development of safer, more adaptable, and emotionally stable animals.
