Fear & Anxiety Prevention

Fear & Anxiety Prevention

Many behavioral problems in adult dogs and cats originate from negative experiences or inadequate socialization during early life. This protocol promotes strategies aimed at preventing fear, insecurity, and anxiety through more respectful and emotionally stable early experiences.

Key recommendations include avoiding punishment, rough handling, traumatic exposure, or overwhelming experiences during sensitive developmental stages. The animal’s emotional limits should always be respected when introducing new stimuli or social situations.

Calm and predictable interactions with people, other animals, and unfamiliar environments should be encouraged while reducing overexposure and emotional saturation. The protocol also promotes early identification of excessive sensitivity, insecurity, or adaptation difficulties, allowing preventive intervention before these issues become consolidated. The objective is to support emotionally balanced animals and reduce the future development of fear-, stress-, or anxiety-related disorders.
